Sprout Organics widens recall of baby food pouches for possible lead

Sprout Organics has widened its recall of three.5-ounce Candy Potato, Apple & Spinach pouches as a result of some heaps could include elevated ranges of lead.

The U.S. Meals and Drug Administration (FDA) stated the recall, first announced Sept. 16, now covers further heaps bought on-line at Walgreens and thru unbiased retailers in 28 states.

The company added that publicity “even at low ranges” could increase blood lead levels.
